About

I’m not a chef; I’m not a cookbook author. I’m not even a blogger.
I’m a dad.

Which means I’ve been in the trenches, just like you. Seen and felt it all. Pressure. Pride. Poop. I don’t craft recipes and sweat every detail of every one of my kid’s meals because of professional obligation or ambition; I don’t do it as a creative outlet. I do so because my child needs me, because my wife needs me; we are trying to get by in the best–and most delicious and nutritious–way we can.

Perhaps you can (or will) relate. You are a dad, quite possibly a new one. You’re overwhelmed with love–and maybe a little fear–from parenthood; you’re probably just a bit dead inside from exhaustion and/or the repetitive labor involved in, you know, keeping your little one going. Making food might just be yet another task in that struggle, or your noble attempt to relieve your partner of some of the burdens of childcare; it may yet be a passion project and/or catharsis for you. You may be a whiz behind the stove; you may have strenuously avoided the kitchen (until now). Doesn’t matter! You contain multitudes.

This website isn’t just for anyone; it’s for all of you

So: enjoy, engage. And don’t be a stranger: would love to hear from you, be it about the recipes and content on the site, or about your own travels (and travails) through fatherhood.
