Yogurt Soup (AKA curd rice or yogurt rice) is your pantry lifesaver—simple, comforting, and totally toddler-approved. Creamy, customizable, and ready in 20 minutes. 💪

1️⃣ Rinse your rice until water runs clear. Place in a pot, add 4 cups of broth or water, and bring to a boil on Medium. Cover and cook 15 min.
2️⃣ While rice cooks, mix yogurt, egg, flour, and lemon juice in a bowl; add a pinch of salt (two if using water).
3️⃣ Ladle some rice liquid into the yogurt mixture, blend; repeat 2x.
4️⃣ Pour yogurt mixture into rice, stir, and cook on Low for 15 more minutes, stirring occasionally.
5️⃣ Taste, adjust salt or lemon as needed, and serve warm.

“Dinner” these days? A few scattered toddler f “Dinner” these days? A few scattered toddler favorites that won’t get thrown on the floor. Cheese, crackers, maybe a veggie if we’re feeling brave. Some call it chaos—I call it toddler dinner.

It’s not lazy, it’s strategy: finger foods they’ll actually eat, minimal cleanup, and if I’m lucky, I get a bite too. Basically a mezze platter, if you squint hard enough and ignore the fact that half of it came from the snack drawer.

We do this once a week. Sometimes we call it “dips night” to make it sound fancy. Sometimes we just surrender and open a sleeve of Ritz. Either way: everyone eats, no one cries (usually), and that’s a win in my book.

Preheat oven to 350°F.
Remove the membrane from the back of a pork rib rack if it’s still on.
Rub ribs with a thin layer of mayo (yes, mayo—it helps the glaze stick).

Mix equal parts:
🍇 Jam or jelly (raspberry, fig, grape, whatever you’ve got)
🥢 Soy sauce
🍷 Rice vinegar (or balsamic in a pinch)
🔥 Barbecue sauce

Brush glaze over ribs. Wrap in foil, bake for 90 min. Unwrap, brush with more glaze, broil 5–10 min for that perfect caramelized finish.

Sweet, sticky, fall-off-the-bone. Kid-approved.
